Dr. Cameron Robert, DMD grew up in Dunwoody, GA. She attended Elon University in Elon, North Carolina where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Dr. Robert then received her dental degree from the Dental College of Georgia.
During school, she held several leadership positions on her class executive board, Operation Smile, and Student Chapter of the American Association for Pediatric Dentistry, and completed a research project focused on the efficacy of restorative dental materials.
Dr. Robert is passionate about providing patients with the highest quality care with the utmost compassion.
In her free time, Dr. Robert spends time walking along the canal with her dog, trying new recipes she finds on Pinterest, and “talking shop” with her husband who is a pediatric dental resident at the Dental College of Georgia.
Dr. Amber N. Ivey, DMD grew up in Warrenton, Georgia, where she attended elementary, middle, and high school. She attended Fort Valley State University obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in biology followed by the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. After completing her professional graduate program in May of 2017 completed a two year General Practice Residency at Dental College of Georgia in 2019.
Dr. Ivey is a highly skilled oral health professional with diversified experience in various dental procedures. She has continued her passion for dentistry as a private practice dentist and thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to serve the local community and people of the greater CSRA.
Apart from her profession, Dr. Ivey is a proud member of the Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. There she devotes her efforts to aiding in the community outreach projects and exemplifying a servant leader.
Gwen brings 22 years of dental experience in various duties (including dental assistant, dental hygiene and practice advisor) to Augusta Family Dental. As a dental hygienist, her focus is on providing high quality care to her patients and educating them on how to maintain good oral hygiene. She is committed to making hygiene appointments a comfortable and positive experience by learning about your dental history, listening to your concerns and helping you plan for a healthy future. As practice advisor she always strives to be aware of patient needs, whether it is dental treatment, time concerns or financial arrangements.
Outside of office hours, Gwen enjoys spending time with her family, friends, shopping and traveling. Some of her other interests include crafting and decorating.
Wakia is a native of Augusta, Georgia with 14 years of experience as a dental assistant. Her years of experience have instilled a passion for the dental field. Wakia’s dedication to serving patients with the best of her abilities encouraged her to pursue a Bachelors Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene at Augusta University. This recent 2020 graduate is dedicated to serving her community by helping patients achieve quality oral care when they visit Augusta Family Dental.
Outside of work, Wakia is the mother of an awesome daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the beach and basking in the sun.
Dr. Susan Carter grew up in a small suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Southwest Missouri State University and William Jewell College whereby achieving academic honors of dean’s list. She graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City Dental School. Dr. Carter has been practicing family dentistry for over 25 years with a commitment to providing the best care possible for her patients. Dr. Carter completes over 30 hours of continuing education annually and has taken post-doctoral courses with an emphasis on sleep medicine and cosmetic dentistry. Her goal is to make every dental visit as comfortable as possible and to build a solid foundation of trust and respect with each patient.
Dr. Carter, her husband Tim, and her dog Tilly could not be happier to call the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area) their home. In her free time, Susan enjoys horseback riding, tennis, and travelling with friends and family.
Addison has several years of experience in various areas of dentistry, and he is also a recent graduate of Phlebotomy school. He is a valuable employee who constantly goes above and beyond for our patients and his fellow staff members. Addison is continuing to expand his abilities in dentistry, and we are excited to watch him continue to grow!
Addison has two wonderful children; his daughter Willow is 12 years old, and his son John is 14. In his spare time, Addison loves to read and write.
Born and raised in Georgia, Sam is what you would call a real Georgia peach. Her passion for dentistry began in 2008 when she graduated from Augusta Technical College as a dental assistant. She was working as an orthodontist assistant when she decided to go back to school for hygiene. She graduated from Savannah Technical College for hygiene in 2013, and then became a member here at Augusta Family Dental. She loves what she does and the people she gets to work with every day. She is very passionate about her patients and the welfare of their dental health.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with her two beautiful girls and husband. Although she has little time for hobbies, she does like to spend her spare time doing crafts. Her biggest accomplishment in life is her family, and she thanks God every day for the many blessings he has given her.
As a dental hygienist, Sara’s focus is on providing high quality care to Augusta Family Dental’s patients and educating them on how to maintain good oral health. She is committed to making hygiene appointments a comfortable and positive experience. Sara is here to learn your dental history, listen to your concerns, and plan for a healthy future. Together with the dental team, she formulates patient-centered hygiene care plans that meet all your dental needs.
During hygiene visits, Sara encourages patients to ask as many questions as possible. This allows her to personalize treatment and enable patients to be involved in their treatment. She also stays current on new technologies and hygiene products, and attends continuing-education classes regularly.
Born and raised in the Augusta area, Amy embodies all the kindness and generosity typical of Southern hospitality. She has been a Patient Coordinator for six years doing insurance verification, treatment plans, and accounts receivable.
Amy and her husband Stephen have three sons and two dogs. When she’s not at work she can be found on the football or baseball field watching and cheering on her very active boys. GO LAKESIDE PANTHERS!
Stephanie was born and raised in Augusta, GA. She studied Dental Assisting and became a certified dental assistant with expanded duties in 2004. She joined our work family in 2016. Stephanie has truly come to think of her Augusta Family Dental team and their patients as an extended part of her family.
When she’s not at work, Stephanie enjoys preparing wonderful meals and delicious, sweet treats for her patients and 11-year-old son, Mason. She also enjoys reading, learning new things, and finding peace in meditation and walks.
Kelley was born in Houston, Texas, but her family moved to Augusta in 1989. She finished her dental education in 2009 at Georgia State in Atlanta. Her inspiration for dentistry began while watching her hygienist, Sara, who is now one of Kelley’s co-workers. Kelley focuses on a gentle and thorough approach to dentistry, while giving her patients the best plan of action for their oral health.
Her husband and 3-year-old son moved from Atlanta to Augusta in 2021 to be closer to family. They enjoyed being able to walk to their cousin’s house down the street and explore all the different parks in the area. Kelley’s hobbies over the years include tennis, camping, backpacking, hiking, piano, crafting, and family time. Kelley loves getting to meet new patients and looks forward to meeting you!
